Ordered a GoodWe EH inverter for our off grid setup. Arrived in a couple of days, well packed, no issues at all with the product.
Received emails at every step, checkout, shipment, tracking and an after sales email to check up if everything went OK and it was the right Inverter for our install.
Very good customer support, Genuine Australian stock - not drop shipped from China. Good to know there are real people available to help if something goes wrong.
No issues at all recommending this company to friends.

Energy Eco were fantastic to deal with — super friendly, great communication, and kept me updated the whole way through, even after delivery.
I purchased a Victron GX Touch 50 with wall mount and it was completely plug-and-play with my Cerbo GX. Works perfectly and looks great mounted in my caravan.
They even included (small charge)an extended 5-year warranty (10 years total), which was a great bonus. Highly recommend Energy Eco for Victron gear!

FAQ & Help

How do I contact you?

Contact us on 02 4905 1055 or support@motion-plus.com.au. Our install teams cover the lot: Motion Plus Marine for marine electronics and electrical, Motion Plus Solar for off-grid and solar installations, and Motion Plus Electrical for electrical work — along the east coast of Australia.

Which MPPT solar charge controller do I need?

Two numbers define every Victron MPPT: e.g. a 100/50 accepts up to 100V of panel input and outputs up to 50A of charge current. Maximum charging watts = output amps x battery voltage, so a 100/50 delivers about 700W into a 12V bank but 2,800W into 48V — the same controller goes four times as far on a higher-voltage system. To pick yours, use Victron's official MPPT Sizing Calculator (https://www.victronenergy.com/mppt-calculator): select your exact panels from its 160,000+ model database and it recommends the right controller including the cold-weather voltage margin most people miss. Is the Victron MultiPlus-II plug and play?

No. The MultiPlus-II must be installed with correctly sized DC cabling and fusing, AC input/output protection, and it must be programmed to suit your battery type and system before use. Programming requires either a Cerbo GX or an MK3-USB interface. If you'd rather skip that step, add our Custom Programming Upgrade at checkout and your unit arrives pre-programmed to your battery specifications.

My Victron product won't show up in VictronConnect — what do I do?

Victron's official first step: restart your phone (a real restart, not lock/unlock). Then check: (1) it's a 'Smart' product with the Bluetooth symbol and it's in range; (2) no other phone is connected — only one phone can connect at a time; (3) you're connecting from WITHIN the VictronConnect app, never from the phone's Bluetooth system menu — if you paired from the system menu, remove the pairing there, then reconnect inside the app. Full official guide: https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/VictronConnect_app/en/troubleshooting.html

Do your products need a licensed installer?

While we are confident in the advice and information provided, all electrical products must be installed by a licensed electrician or suitably qualified person, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable Australian standards.

Which pack voltage do I need — 12V, 24V or 48V?

Follow the power, because current is what sets cable size and cost: watts / volts = amps, so the same 3,000W load pulls 250A at 12V but only 62A at 48V. Victron's own guideline (Wiring Unlimited): 12V suits inverters up to 3,000VA, 24V up to 5,000VA, and 48V for 5,000VA and up. So: 12V — vans, boats and small setups. 24V — mid-size systems. 48V — big inverter loads and all whole-home off-grid: quarter the current of 12V, much thinner cable, higher efficiency, and the best range of storage batteries. If you're planning big inverter loads (aircon, workshop tools, whole house), start at 48V — it's cheaper than upgrading later.

Do you install?

Yes — three in-house install teams: Motion Plus Marine (marine electronics and electrical systems), Motion Plus Solar (off-grid and solar systems), and Motion Plus Electrical (electrical installations). Based in the Port Stephens, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region, with installs available within our service area along the east coast. Outside our service area, we supply the system pre-wired and programmed for your own qualified electrician to install. Tell us what you're planning and we'll quote supply and install together.

What's included in an Off-Grid Pack, and can I add to it later?

Every pack pairs a Victron inverter/charger with a professionally matched lithium bank, sized as a set so you never buy mismatched parts: choose your battery family (Energy Eco lithium, Energy Eco Semi-Solid State, Fusion Lithium, or Pylontech) and your size — 12V packs from 2000VA/270Ah up to 3000VA/480Ah, 24V packs to 5kVA/400Ah, 48V packs from 3kVA/5kWh up to 10kVA/20.48kWh. Each pack page lists its exact contents, and a matching professionally drawn wiring diagram is available for every pack. Adding later is designed in: solar bolts on with an MPPT sized to your roof space, and batteries expand within each range's approved parallel limits — the EE48-5.12 goes all the way to 16 modules on its rack system. Because every pack is built on the same Victron architecture, expansion uses standard parts, never replacements.

What charge settings does my lithium battery need?

LiFePO4 batteries want a very different profile to lead-acid: typical absorption 14.2-14.6V (12V models), float around 13.5V or none at all, NO equalisation ever, and charging disabled below about 5C battery temperature. In VictronConnect, start from the built-in LiFePO4 preset, then apply the exact figures from your battery's datasheet. Energy Eco figures: EE12-135-BT — charge voltage 14.4V, standard charge 27A, fast charge up to 67.5A. EE12-240-BT — charge voltage 14.4V, standard 48A, fast up to 120A. Both: never charge below 0C (the BMS blocks it), discharge cut-off 10V. EE48-5.12KWH battery — charge voltage 57.6V, standard 20A, maximum 50A per module; it talks to the inverter directly over CAN or RS485 so the battery controls its own charging. Fusion Lithium (V-LFP series, figures for V-LFP-12-100): charge 14.4-14.8V, recommended float 13.8V, recommended charge current 50A (minimum 10A, maximum 100A), charge between 0-45C — and per Fusion, they charge happily on a standard 3-stage AGM smart charger, which is what makes them such an easy drop-in. Other models: figures on each product's datasheet. Or skip the setup entirely: add the Custom Programming Upgrade and your gear arrives set for your exact batteries.

Are your products genuine, and how do warranties work?

Yes — everything we sell is genuine stock bought through each brand's Australian distribution, so the manufacturer's Australian warranty applies and we handle any claim for you locally. Warranty periods differ by brand and product type (Victron power products 5 years but Victron batteries 2-3 years; Garmin marine 2 years; Fusion Lithium 3-year replacement; Energy Eco batteries 5-10 years) — the exact terms, with a link to the manufacturer's official policy, are shown in the FAQ on every product page. Grey-import gear from overseas marketplaces often carries no valid Australian warranty at all; if the price looks too good, that's usually why.

Can lithium batteries be shipped, and how long does delivery take?

Orders are generally dispatched within 24 hours on business days. Free shipping on orders over $400 (solar panels, trolling motors, Seakeepers and some batteries excluded). Lithium batteries are dangerous goods, so they travel by road freight only — no air freight, no PO boxes or parcel lockers — and some remote areas attract a surcharge shown at checkout. Express Shipping puts your order on an express courier once packed; if you need it packed first, add our Skip the Queue service. Shipping insurance is available at checkout and we strongly recommend it on batteries. Local pickup from Taylors Beach by arrangement.

Why does my inverter shut down on low battery when the battery tests fine?

Classic voltage-drop symptom. Undersized or long cables, a corroded lug, a loose connection or a tired battery all add resistance — under heavy load the voltage AT THE INVERTER sags far below the voltage at the battery, triggering low-voltage or ripple alarms, blowing fuses early, and cooking cables. Victron's test: load the system to maximum, measure voltage at the battery posts and at the inverter's DC terminals — the difference is your voltage drop, and it should be under 2.5%. Fixes, in order: shorten or thicken the battery cables, re-crimp or clean every connection, check fuse/switch/shunt specs, and replace old or undersized batteries. This one issue causes more mystery shutdowns than any inverter fault.

How do I get diagnostics before contacting support?

Check every cable connection first, then create a VictronConnect Service Report (VictronConnect menu > Settings > Service report > CREATE) and attach it to your enquiry — it gives us the diagnostics to solve most issues in one reply instead of five. For system-level history (voltages, state of charge over time), a GX device connected to VRM gives us full remote diagnostics.

What is your returns and change-of-mind policy?

Complete our online Returns Form within 7 calendar days of delivery to request a Return Authorisation — returns sent without one can't be processed. Items must be unused, unopened and in original packaging with proof of purchase. Approved change-of-mind returns incur a 25% restocking fee, with original shipping and payment-processing costs deducted, and return freight at your cost. Not returnable for change of mind: batteries, battery cabinets and racks, anything over 30kg, trolling motors, transducers, special-order and custom-made items (made-to-order cables, boards), programmed units, and opened charts or software. None of this affects your Australian Consumer Law rights — faulty goods are always covered. Full policy: [link to Shipping, Refunds & Returns page].

What fuse do I need for a lithium battery bank?

Two ratings matter, and most people only check one. The current rating protects the cable as normal — but lithium batteries can deliver enormous short-circuit currents, far beyond lead-acid, so Victron's Wiring Unlimited also requires the fuse's INTERRUPT rating (breaking capacity) to be equal to or greater than the battery bank's maximum prospective short-circuit current. A fuse with too low an interrupt rating can fail catastrophically instead of breaking the fault. That's why Class T fuses (up to 200kA interrupt) are the go-to for lithium banks, while a standard MEGA fuse (1,000-2,500A interrupt) is only suitable for small systems. Every lithium installation needs at least one fuse in the DC line that meets this — tell us your bank and we'll spec the right fuse and holder.
