Part Number: 83116025

While Battery isolators are conventional diode splitters, the Battery Mate’s technology is electronic and includes mosfets (transistors). Its components compensate for the voltage drop and ensure that charging continues at the right voltage level, even with several battery banks. The Battery Mate is compatible with any type of alternator/battery charger, in both existing and new systems. As the voltage loss between the alternator and battery is negligible, the Battery Mate performs far better than conventional battery isolators. This ensures fast and complete charging of your batteries without having to make additional adjustments to the alternator.

I ordered a victron MPPT 100/20, their response time and communication was fantastic.
I will be looking forward to dealing them again when my next project comes along.

Ordered a GoodWe EH inverter for our off grid setup. Arrived in a couple of days, well packed, no issues at all with the product.
Received emails at every step, checkout, shipment, tracking and an after sales email to check up if everything went OK and it was the right Inverter for our install.
Very good customer support, Genuine Australian stock - not drop shipped from China. Good to know there are real people available to help if something goes wrong.
No issues at all recommending this company to friends.

FAQ & Help

What cable connects my Cerbo GX to my inverter/charger?

A standard RJ45 UTP cable (VE.Bus), available 0.3m to 20m — any length we stock will work.

Which communication cable does my Victron product use?

VE.Direct — SmartSolar/BlueSolar MPPTs, SmartShunt, BMV monitors and Phoenix inverters (one official VE.Direct cable per device, 0.3m-10m, right-angle version available for tight spaces). VE.Bus — MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II and Quattro (standard straight-through RJ45 UTP, not crossover). VE.Can — managed batteries and daisy-chained devices (RJ45 with the correct Type A/B BMS cable and an RJ45 terminator at each end of the chain).

My Victron product won't show up in VictronConnect — what do I do?

Victron's official first step: restart your phone (a real restart, not lock/unlock). Then check: (1) it's a 'Smart' product with the Bluetooth symbol and it's in range; (2) no other phone is connected — only one phone can connect at a time; (3) you're connecting from WITHIN the VictronConnect app, never from the phone's Bluetooth system menu — if you paired from the system menu, remove the pairing there, then reconnect inside the app. Full official guide: https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/VictronConnect_app/en/troubleshooting.html

What warranty does this Victron product carry?

Victron Energy's limited warranty is 5 years from purchase on power products — inverters, inverter/chargers, chargers, MPPTs, monitors, GX devices, DC-DC and accessories. Exceptions: Victron lead-acid batteries 2 years and Victron lithium batteries 3 years, and battery claims require proof of correct usage and charging. Victron offers an extension to 10 years for a 10% surcharge, applied for before the original term ends. Claims go through us as your dealer — email your invoice, serial number and a fault description and we handle it. In addition to your Australian Consumer Law rights. What is VRM and what can it do?

VRM (Victron Remote Management) is Victron's free online portal. With a Cerbo GX online you can monitor your whole system from anywhere, get alarms, review history, and allow remote support — it's how we program and troubleshoot customer systems without a site visit. Official VRM FAQ: https://www.victronenergy.com/live/vrm_portal:faq - videos: https://youtu.be/mmGaxBL-1c0 and https://youtu.be/3tPLHot7TAc

I can see my product but can't connect / my PIN isn't accepted

Outdated Bluetooth bonding is the usual cause (the product only remembers the last 10 phones, and a changed PIN breaks old pairings). Remove the pairing completely from your phone's Bluetooth settings, reopen VictronConnect and re-pair. If the PIN is rejected, reset it to the default 000000 using the PUK printed on the product's serial number label, connect with 000000, then set a new PIN. Android users: VictronConnect also needs Location permission enabled to scan for Bluetooth devices. Official guide: https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/VictronConnect_app/en/troubleshooting.html

Do I need a shunt, or is voltage monitoring enough?

Voltage is a poor fuel gauge — and for lithium it's nearly useless, because a LiFePO4 battery sits at almost the same voltage (around 13.2-13.3V) from 90% full down to 20%. By the time the voltage visibly drops, you're nearly empty. A shunt-based monitor (SmartShunt or BMV) counts every amp-hour in and out, giving you a true state-of-charge percentage, time-remaining, and history. Voltage-only monitoring is fine as a simple low-battery alarm; if you actually want to know how much power you have left, fit a shunt. Install note: the shunt sits in the NEGATIVE cable, last component before the battery, with every load and charge source connected on the far side of it — anything wired battery-side of the shunt is invisible to the monitor.

How do I update the firmware on my Victron product?

VictronConnect includes the latest firmware and prompts you automatically — look for the orange exclamation on the settings cog, tap it, then tap UPDATE. Updates preserve your settings and history and don't need internet. Exception: VE.Bus products (MultiPlus, Quattro) need an MK3-USB adaptor and Victron's separate VE.Bus firmware guide — or we can do it for you, remotely if your Cerbo GX is online. Official guide: https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/VictronConnect_app/en/firmware-updates.html

My firmware update keeps failing

Don't panic — the update restarts every time you reconnect, and nothing is lost. Victron's advice: keep the phone as close to the product as possible, remove the Bluetooth pairing from your phone's system menu and re-pair, and if it stops at a random percentage just keep retrying — it will succeed eventually. Still stuck? Try a different phone (iOS works most reliably). If it fails at 4% or less there's a per-product recovery procedure — contact us or see the official guide: https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/VictronConnect_app/en/troubleshooting.html

How do I get diagnostics before contacting support?

Check every cable connection first, then create a VictronConnect Service Report (VictronConnect menu > Settings > Service report > CREATE) and attach it to your enquiry — it gives us the diagnostics to solve most issues in one reply instead of five. For system-level history (voltages, state of charge over time), a GX device connected to VRM gives us full remote diagnostics.

Where can I find manuals, software and more help?

Official sources we recommend: all software and apps at https://www.victronenergy.com/support-and-downloads/software - all manuals at https://www.victronenergy.com/support-and-downloads/manuals - the VRM FAQ at https://www.victronenergy.com/live/vrm_portal:faq - and the Victron Community knowledgebase at https://community.victronenergy.com - or just contact us.
